Two consultation series of the Action Plan on the European project EGOV-
INNO of the Greece-Italy Program 2014-2020 has been organized by the
Regional Development Fund of the Region of Western Greece, as the
Project Coordinator, on Monday 27 May 2019. The first took place at the
Region of Western Greece premises, in which entrepreneurship support
bodies were participated. The second took place at the Chamber of Achaia
premises, in which companies operating in the area were participated.
The project EGOV-INNO aims to develop action plans in the participating
regions for the deployment of e-government services for enterprises (G2B
services). These plans will be based on an international search of practices
from competent authorities, adapted to the local needs of the GR-IT area.
Intelligent tools that gather, process and analyze market data will be
developed within the project lifetime in order to be tested for their
effectiveness and added value to the local economies. A cross-border
innovation and entrepreneurship barometer is also a part of the project
results that will assist all actors of the regional innovation ecosystems to
grow and develop.
The speakers of the consultation events were researchers from the Center
for Planning and Economic Research (KEPE). KEPE is the largest research
institute in the field of economic science in Greece to investigate issues
related to the Greek economy. In its capacity as an advisory body to the
Ministry of Economy and Development, from which it is supervised, it
provides the State with technical services in economic and social policy
matters. Following are their details.

• Dr. Ioanna Reziti specializes in rural economy issues.
It is noted that already in March, events were organized by the Regional
Development Fund of the Region of Western Greece for the promotion of
the project egov_INNO in the Chambers of Achaia, Ilia and Aitoloakarnania.

On April 18, 2019, in the headquarters of the Apulia Region, a Focus Group was convened with the reference stakeholders, to select the 15 most significant practices and most responsive to the needs of the Apulia Region’s companies. During the meeting some aspects of the project and methodology were shared and some practices for each axis were illustrated and discussed.
At the end of the meeting, all participants filled in a questionnaire, indicating the most important topics for developing G2B services in support of businesses in the Apulia Region.
“In September 2018, during Fiera del Levante in Bari, Apulia Region, Competitiveness and research of products systems Unitt organized the seminar “Competitiveness and Innovation: Apulia Region plans its own future”. During the event have been presented regional actions about circular economy implementation system and G2B services in territorial cooperation programme, too. More than one hundred apulian companies and all project partners attended the conference.”
A Settembre 2018, durante i lavori della Fiera del Levante a Bari, la Sezione Competitività e ricerca dei sistemi produttivi della Regione Puglia ha organizzato il seminario dal titolo “Competitività ed Innovazione, la Puglia che progetta il proprio futuro”. Durante l’evento, a cui hanno partecipato oltre cento imprese pugliesi, partners istituzionali e tutti i partners del progetto egov_INNO, sono state presente le attività poste in essere in ambito regionale in materia di sistemi di implementazione di economia circolare e servizi G2B nella cooperazione internazionale.
Under the project “egov_INNO – E-government services and tools from regional governments and regional development bodies to support and coordinate the regional research and innovation capital “, 3 Information Days will take place in Patras, Pyrgos and Agrinio on 13, 14 and 15 March 2019 respectively.
The presentation of the method of development of the “EGOV_INNO” action plans, of the international practices in selected application areas as well as the analysis of the availability of statistics on entrepreneurship and innovation, the way of collection and processing will be presented in the framework of the information days.
The “Patras – Smart City” action plan will be presented by the Municipality of Patras, a presentation of methods for measuring entrepreneurship and innovation in Western Greece, by the Center for Planning and Economic Research, a presentation of ICT for supporting Open Innovation Public sector.
The information events will be concluded with discussion and conclusions.

The project “Egov_INNO – E-government services and tools from regional governments and regional development bodies to support and coordinate the regional research and innovation capital” is a cross border cooperation funded by Interreg V-A Greece-Italy 2014 – 2020 Programme.
The project’s main objective is to deliver e-government services for the private sector by contributing to the improvement of the utilization of customized e-government services for business (e.g. for innovative start-ups) proposing effective and feasible applications leading to better governance and more efficient delivery of services tailored to the needs of the local economies.
In its first months of implementation, as defined in the project plan, several practices have been collected by the consortium in selected application areas. In the next implementation stage, all partners are working towards the definition of best practices and the collection of SMEs needs on their territories.
On 6th and 7th February 2019 the second project meeting has been organized in Apulia Region premises in Bari. In this meeting all collected practices (86 in total) have been presented in brief and the consortium discussed the needed next steps for their evaluation and their connection with SMEs needs in the two regions. This analysis will allow for the definition of an effective action plan for implementation of important services and tools in the collaboration area.
In the forthcoming month awareness raising events will take place in both regions for gathering the local needs and deliberating with major stakeholders.

The kick-off meeting of the project “egov_INNO – E-government services and tools from regional governments and regional development bodies to support and coordinate the regional research and innovation capital”, funded by INTERREG V-A Greece-Italy Programme 2014 – 2020, was held in Patras on 10-11 July 2018, at the Regional Council Hall.
All partners, Regional Development Fund of Region of Western Greece (Lead beneficiary), Computer Technology Institute and Press “Diophantus”, Innova Puglia S.P.A. and Apulia Region initiated the project tasks.
The project aims to deliver effective and feasible G2B e-government applications tailored to the needs of the participating regions leading to better governance and faster delivery of services to the local private sector and is expected to enhance significantly the market intelligence on both territories by promoting tools and platforms for joint cross-border initiatives & increase the capacity of businesses and innovation stakeholders to utilize the available innovation support services and clusters/networks.
